Online Catholic Education to Restore Our Catholic Identity.

Do you agree there is a huge gap between what our Catholic Church teaches on faith and politics and what many American Catholics actually know and believe?  For example, approximately 50% of Catholic voters in the last five presidential elections, including 2008, voted for pro-choice candidates for president.  CATHOLICS NEED TO BE CATHOLIC.  Most importantly, they need education of orthodox Catholic doctrine from their clergy every Sunday morning from the pulpit.

We welcome you to our website dedicated to Catholic Faith and Politics Education with emphasis on a human being’s right-to-life from conception to natural death and to Pope Benedict's call to our American bishops to meet the challenge, "of cultivating our Catholic identity based on a way of thinking and acting grounded in the Gospel and enriched by the Church's living tradition" and his call to Catholic laity "to act as a leaven in society" to open the minds and hearts of the wider community to moral truth.  In other words, Catholics should be and act Catholic, both laity and clergy.

ACTION FOR CATHOLICS TO BE CATHOLIC!

Why should we act as the “leaven” in our Church, meaning causing a gradual rising or improving change in the fundamental work, God’s work, of our Catholic institution?   In other words, why bring you online Catholic education?   One reason is because many if not most of our clergy, pastors and bishops, are focusing their attention, and have for 40 years on their administrative, business, financial, and political aspects of running a parish or diocese instead of the spiritual responsibilities God placed on them to work for the salvation of the souls of their parishioners.   Is it the duty of our clergy to provide comfort for those living a worldly lifestyle?  Or is it their duty to teach them a lifestyle that provides the eternal comfort of everlasting life, one that teaches Catholics to be Catholic and set the moral example for the Christian community.

Political correctness is influencing many of our leadership to make Church doctrine satisfy the moral relativist lifestyle of some of our generic Christian parishioners instead of preaching traditional orthodox Catholic doctrine that follows God’s immutable moral laws to save souls.  Online Catholic education in faith and politics nationwide is the perfect venue to accomplish this as long as the material is true to Holy Scripture, the Catholic Catechism, Church tradition, and the Magisterium.

Another reason is that a true witness for Christ, in the presence of immorality, evil, plain sinfulness, or just political correctness has a responsibility to be His disciple and follow the advice of St. Augustine in his City of God message where he said:  “Nor is a man fully free from blame who is not in authority, but who notices in those persons he meets in social life many faults he should censor and admonish. He is blameworthy if he fails to do this out of fear of hurting feelings or of losing such things as he may licitly enjoy in this life, but to which he is unduly attached.”

Remember Ezekiel 33: 7-9, which we hear every late summer from our pulpits:  "Thus says the Lord:  You, son of man, I have appointed watchman for the house of Isreal; when you hear me say anything, you shall warn them for me.  If I tell the wicked, 'O wicked one, you shall surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade the wicked from his way, the wicked shall die for his guilt, but I will hold you responsible for his death.  But if you warn the wicked, trying to turn him from his way, and he refuses..., he shall die for his guilt, but you shall save yourself."

At least, this is our motivation for this website and for writing this blog after 10 years watching pregnant girls and women walk into abortion clinics and come out in a wheel chair without their babies.  We see so many things our Church can do to end this scourge.  What can we, the laity, do to save our Catholic Church in America, and how do we do it?   We have to do it with Catholic education online because our clergy aren't doing it from the pulpit.

In 1979, Archbishop Fulton Sheen asked that same question.  He answered himself by saying:  “Not our bishops, not our priests and religious.  It is up to you, the people.  You have the minds, the eyes, the ears to save the Church.  Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops like bishops, and your religious act like religious.”   So, in the end, it is up to our Catholic laity to be Catholic and demand that our clergy provide the leadership their vows require of them to be Catholic.  Thus, you have this online Catholic education.
